A little About the Designer

And why they started this project

Welcome to the "whitepaper" for the In A Maze NFT collection! Thank you for taking a few minutes to read this over. I'm pretty excited about this venture as it's literally been 30+ years in the making.

How is that possible, you ask? Well, long story short, I started drawing mazes in the early 90's. I used to love the look of the black and white composition notebook covers and something about it always made me think it was a maze begging to be solved. Of course they weren't so I just colored in the white parts and made it look like I was solving it. Then one day, I just started creating my own composition notebook looking cover that was actually a maze.

Back in 1992, I drew a picture of Bart Simpson and created a maze inside of him. That was one of the first times I drew a picture and filled it with a maze. Before that I would just cover an entire piece of paper with one. My teacher loved the image and she submitted it to the children's magazine, Highlights. They wrote a really nice letter back stating that while they loved the image, at the time, they didn't want kids writing in the actual magazine so they didn't want to publish it. It wasn't discouraging to me at all and it was nice to get a letter back! So I just kept on making them. My classmates loved them and I would create my packet of mazes that I would sell to them. Mainly it was pocket change here and there so I could get some ice cream or some other special treat at school.

I still have that letter from Highlights and it immediately sparked an idea; what if I create an NFT series of mazes? So...here we are! 30 years after that letter, I want to bring back the joy and fun I had making them and the joy and fun my friends and family had at solving them to this amazing NFT community!

I'm choosing to mint this collection on Hedera. It's what I truly believe will be the future for NFTs and crypto in general. It's faster, lighter, GREENER and has some of the lowest fees I've ever seen. Not to mention the fact that the Hedera community has some of the most talented, and supportive people out there! So thank you again and I hope you enjoy getting lost in a maze!

And what to expect with releases, commissioned work and more

This section will be updated as this projects moves along so please be patient and check back often to see what's new and what's to come!

Please keep in mind that this is a solo-creator venture and I will try and do my best to ensure timely art, communication and minting. The Hedera NFT space is still so new and so much is changing rapidly that it can be hard to keep up. We've also seen the Hedera NFT space come to a grinding halt when a certain wallet went down and no one was able to mint or view their art. This amazing Hedera community is growing so fast and the tools and resources to do what we do is growing exponentially and I fully expect things to be a lot smoother over the next 3-6 months. I just ask that you be respectful to everyone in this community, show your support and please be patient as we grow this out to be just as amazing as we all know and believe it will be! Thank you again for taking the time to read this and for your support in this project!

WHITELIST INFO

In the spirit of doing this project differently, I am not asking for people to tag 50 friends, join a Discord and be active for 30 days while communication with everyone in every channel every hour you're awake, or name your first born child Mazemeister. I really want people who are interested in this project, interested in the art, and interested in having fun to get a whitelist spot. That being said, in order to get a whitelist maze, the first 100 people to solve the special whitelist maze and email it to me will get a spot. Of those 100 people, 5 people drawn at random will receive the alt version.

Once @InAMazeNFT's Twitter page hits 500 followers, I will post the maze to be solved here. Below is what the two whitelist mazes look like.
**NOTE** The alt version is not yet revealed and will be at 400 Twitter followers
